Helping little people (4 to 11 year olds) develop confidence, self belief and a "can do" attitude with the help of our beautiful ponies ...and we teach them how to ride and care of ponies, too!
OUR PONIES
We have 8 very special ponies at The Pony Academy, each with its very own Fan Club!
TANGO
Tango is a 13.2hh, highland cross that is very popular with all the children. She is worth her weight in gold!! She really takes care of her riders and is just perfect to learn on.
OLIVER
Oliver is the Pony Boss! He is a 13.2hh Exmoor pony that has 100 T-shirts in his wardrobe! We are very lucky to have Oliver with us and are having lots of fun together.
WINNIE
Winnie is a Welsh Pony with very good credentials! From being a little handful of beans he has turned into a little star and is a favourite amongst our more experienced riders.
TOFFEE
Toffee is a13hh, beautiful Welsh Pony that is very popular with the children. He is a great jumper and has won several rosettes at the local shows.
PINKIE
Pinky is every little girl's dream come true! We call her our Princess Pony. She is an 11.3hh, Welsh Cross with a lot of character. She knows every trick in the book!!
We take Pinky to shows and she always comes back laden with rossettes.
JACK
This is Jack. He is a 14.1hh cob. Jack is a bigger pony for our taller riders. He is an absolute schoolmaster. We are very, very lucky to have him! He brings great joy to a lot of children.
ACORN
Lovely Acorn is now running up in Pony Heaven. He lived a long, happy life helping many children become brave - he was our "go-fast-pony"! When he earnt his retirement, he went to live with his best friend Kaylib (a big horse) in Dorking before moving to Holland with his lovely "retirement family" for several happy years. We will always remember him very fondly.
TARRON
Tarron is our wise old gentleman. He has seen many moons and is a favorite with our young beginners. A long golden mane to brush for hours and a gentle stride to keep our little ones safe. He is also worth his weight in gold... like Tango!!
It really is as good as having your own pony...
