Pony Playgroup (Ages
3 and 4 year olds)
Every Thursday, from 10:00am to 11:00am. One hour of pony cuddling! We learn how to approach
the ponies, how to behave around them, how to lead them, tie them up and groom them and towards the end of the hour one pony
will take children around the field for little rides.
Cost of Course: £25 per session or £125 for a 6 week course
Introduction to Ponies Course: (6 year olds and up)
Saturdays
from 10:45pm to 12:15pm
During this course your child will have the opportunity to handle the ponies, learn about caring
for them and grooming them, tacking them up and the basics of riding. We go out for a walk and depending on how the children
are doing we sometimes go in the school for a little trot. Emphasis, however, is on the handling and caring of the ponies.
Children will be ready to join a group lesson after they attend this course.
Cost: £30 for one session or £150 for the 6 week course
Mini Riders: (5 and
6 year olds)
This is a course for children that
have done a couple of Pony Playgroup courses or Intro courses and are ready to start some "real riding"! They will
still be helping to get their ponies ready before their ride. Maximum of 6 children in each course. Priority will be given
to children who book the whole course.
Cost of Course: £30 per session or £150 for six weeks course.
Advanced Young
Riders and Young Riders
This is a course for children that have either done the Intro Course a couple of times
and are ready to move on to "proper" riding lessons, or have been riding at The Pony Academy for a while and have
completed the Young Riders course several times. Limited to 6 children - please book early if we have discussed that your
child is ready to move on. Priority is given to children that book the whole course.
Saturdays: 12:30pm to 2:00pm
and 2:15pm to 3:45pm
Sunday: 1:45 to 3:15pm
Cost of course: £40 per session or £200 for 6 week course.
